Wedding Photo Fix

We've been patiently waiting for our online photo gallery to arrive in our inbox...knowing it's nearly ready sets huge amount of anticipation in our minds. My friend Anne said I Do two weeks before we set off on our own wedding adventure and she just sent me the link to her images captured by Lauren Brooks Photography. These gorgeous photos have given me that little fix I was looking for... I think I can hold out just a little longer now!

Anne's Dad sang to the couple during the ceremony

The Gorge offered a spectacular sunset to the couple and their guests

Jeff and I relaxing with the Bride at evening's end. View Point Inn had a great little hidden lounge and offered the perfect spot to grab a drink and rest tired feet.

After Work Art

I had the opportunity to photograph an after work painting class hosted by Tracie Broughten, a local artist. She prepared an amazing spread for her students and guided the class towards a finished piece of art in just 4 hours. I was amazed that these self-proclaimed non-artists could develop a painting in such a short period of time, thanks to Tracie's excellent teaching abilities! I'm looking forward to my next session with her and her students!

Custom Goosegrease

It was love at first sight. We wanted to stray from the typical floral topper and find something unique, affordable, and reusable. Goosegrease to the rescue! These cute custom toppers will be reused as ornaments on our first (married) Christmas tree together.

A Place Called Fay

Our semi-destination wedding required just about everyone to travel some distance, including yours truly and the bridal party. I searched for accommodations well in advance, knowing I did not want to get ready in a cramped hotel room. A good friend of mine suggested checking out a local rental source called Lavabelles, a company specializing in unique rental properties around Central Oregon. It was love at first sight. A little place called Fay had everything I wanted and more.

Pantone chairs? Check. Vintage fabulous lamps? Check. Mod outdoor fireplace and pool house? Most definitely. The house allowed a few members of our wedding party to stay with us and enjoy some down time before the pace of the weekend began to increase.

I would suggests all brides carefully consider where they're preparing themselves the morning of their event, particularly if you are bringing in makeup artists and hairstylists for their bridal party. Having extra elbow room or a great outdoor space is incredibly valuable during this period of the day. Seriously.

Well Hello There!

I have so many images and stories to share with you! Where do I start? Well, Jenny Conway is now Jenny Guggenheim (good design name, eh?) and life is finally somewhat back to normal after months of design and planning. I have to say that designing my own wedding was extremely rewarding and I'm thankful for my organized approach and pages and pages of notes and diagrams I handed over to my day-of coordinator. Design is my passion and I knew I had to take this opportunity and run! This week I'll let you take a peek at some of the projects we crafted and give you an overview of the site we selected and the steps we took to transform it into a personalized space.

Until then, here's one of my favorite images from our wedding day, captured by Guru Khalsa, our film maker.
