Street of Eames 2009

Yes, I scored a ticket to Street of Eames at the last minute and gladly pranced around Portland looking into amazing homes with my Architect Fiance. Though it sort of feels like you are rummaging through someone else's medicine cabinet, the tour organizers insist the owners will never realize 1000 modern home loving Portlanders have traipsed through their abodes.

My Fiance's firm, Giullieti/Schouten had a home featured on the tour this year. The Schouten House featured an intimate two story addition, adding a media room and a light-filled sitting area.

PATH Architecture produced my favorite home on the tour. Incredibly light and bright while maintaining a sense of intimacy and warmth.

Yeon House - those small windows actually act as the backplash in the kitchen.

Photos are limited due to restrictions, but please check out the Eames site for more images and tour information!
