Succulents seem to be all the rage right now, and why shouldn't they be? They are cute, colorful, and since they are water retaining, they are very easy to take care of. There are so many ways to display your succulents - from wall gardens like the photos below, to cute little planters and pots, to terrariums. Do you have any succulents in your home?

Fresh Cut Sundays: Kruger's Farm

My friend Erin's in town from NYC and we decided to take a jaunt over to Kruger's Farm on Sauvie Island last Thursday. To my surprise, the Peonies were out and ready to cut! We had a blast inspecting each bud and picking a few of our favorites. The Strawberry fields are also ripe and ready to pick! We each gathered a few containers worth and managed to leave the island before the crazy rain/thunder/lightning storm that rolled in that afternoon. Happy Sunday!

Fresh Cut Sundays: The Bouquet of Hope

The Bouquet of Hope, a benefit auction for Rose Haven, was held over Mother's Day weekend at Luxe Autohaus. Jasmine Photography documented all of the beautiful tables and I wanted to share my favorite arrangement. I do not know who to give credit for this creation, so please e-mail me if you know who's it is!

Rose Haven is a facility dedicated to supporting women and children facing the realities of homelessness and abuse. Please check out their website to learn how you can support their mission.

Fresh Cut: Street of Eames

PDX is gearing up for it's annual tour of modern homes, so I thought I'd feature some of Ink and Peat's past floral contributions to the event. Some of these spaces are ultra modern and require a sophisticated floral eye. A spray of roses and Baby's Breath just won't do. (really, that combo should never be an option). Look for Ink and Peat's unique work again this year at the 4th annual fundraiser for after school programs at Chapman Elementary and Beach Elementary in the Portland Public School District.
